My Inspiration
Dreaming Lizard Graphics (Studio) is a small Canadian, artist-run brand that is built for people who love reptiles, amphibians, and a little bit
of weird.
This isn’t a big company and that’s kind of the point. I registered DLG back in 2001 but I have been illustrating professionally since 1988. I design everything myself, pulling inspiration from the critters we love, the hobby we’re part of, and a bit of offbeat humour. Some designs lean from real species, others wander into fantasy, but all of them come from the same place: genuine obsession and respect for these incredible creatures.
DLG Quality
DLG evolved from a love of reptiles and amphibians - and the realization that a lot of merch out there just didn’t feel right.
Too generic. Too mass-produced. Too disconnected from the actual hobby. The more people I met in this hobby the more I wanted to create something better for these people. I wanted my designs to feel personal. I wanted to make art that wasn’t stollen or recycled. I wanted to create products that I would wear myself.
So I built it.
That’s what I wanted to bring to the table for my freaky fellowship.
Why DLG Stands Apart
Every design you see here is created by me. No ripped artwork. No shortcuts.
I use modern tools (including AI where it makes sense) as part of my creative process - but everything is guided, refined, and finished by me. Nothing gets posted unless I am proud of the end result.
I use all mediums. Digital, Acrylic, watercolour, markers, pencils and ink. Really, if I get inspired, I will create anything from anything.
I am not here to pump out hundreds of low-effort designs. I would rather make fewer pieces that actually speak to me and I hope they speak to you to.

Each item made by Dreaming Lizard Graphics, is made to order. This means your product is printed just for you, and it takes a little longer than the big box stores. We won't get it to you as fast as Amazon but there is also less waste and more intention on each order.

Our kind of people don't fit with the 'norm'. Sure, puppies & kittens are cute, but my tribe is made up of reptile & amphibian keepers. People who are a bit off with their humour, and the ones who are tired of the cookie-cutter designs. My people are the the ones that went down the rabbit hole reasurching frogs at 2 am. Thats who we are.
